Souris International Rugby Star
Here is a small blurb from the article below.
"The 27-year-old Souris product finally earned a permanent spot on Canada’s national women’s rugby team and at the World Cup — the Olympics and Stanley Cup of her sport wrapped into one — she was named to World Rugby’s women’s 15s dream team of the year in November.
It was the high point of an incredible journey for the former Souris Sabre and University of Calgary Dino in a book that still has many unwritten chapters."

We also offer a chance to join a class for $10, if you decide you want to try another class pay another $10 and you are a member. Please let Doreen Winona Logeot or myself know if you plan on attending so we have a seat ready for you. Attached is a copy of this year’s schedule.
Rink the River
The Rink the River committee is organizing its second annual event! This year we will be
fundraising for the outdoor classroom at Souris School. The committee will once again be
hosting a 3 on 3 shinny tournament on our very own Souris River on March 4th, 2023.
Our hope for this tournament is to not only raise funds for a great cause, but to get people out
of their house, get active and most importantly have fun. Like last year, the tournament has
potential to bring new faces to the community to enjoy our beautiful town and the businesses
within it. With continued support from the community, we plan to keep this a yearly event.

Meet & Greet
I have some news to share!
With Cliff Cullen's announcement that he will be retiring and not seeking re-election, I am excited to announce that I am seeking the Progressive Conservative nomination for Spruce Woods Constituency for the upcoming provincial election. The Party HQ has set the nomination voting date for Saturday, February 11th - location TBD.
I have deep roots in this constituency and I am passionate about the people who call it home. As many of you know, I am born and raised in Souris and received my university degree from Brandon University. I have always believed that this is the best place in the world to live. I am running because we need a community-minded MLA with the energy, passion and experience to get things done. After 3 years working at the provincial level and several years prior to that at the federal level, I bring that experience to the table. I have a strong work ethic, a fresh perspective and a focus on solutions.
In order to vote in this nomination, individuals must have purchased a PC Party Membership by January 27th. Over the coming days and weeks, I will be reaching out by calling and knocking on doors to sell memberships to the PC Party. If you are interested in purchasing a membership to support me, please send me a message, call/text 204-570-0651 or email: email@example.com
I would sincerely appreciate your support!
Spruce Woods Constituency includes the municipalities of: Sifton, Souris-Glenwood, Riverdale, Elton, Whitehead, Cornwallis, Oakland-Wawanesa, Glenboro-South Cypress, Victoria and everything north of the Assiniboine River in the City of Brandon!

We are looking for some volunteers to help out. Some of our people have been doing this for over 20 years and we are looking for some folks to help out even a little. You do not have to be a curler to help. Want to see it continue? Just come to the meeting and we will go from there.
