The perfect day for a garlic planting party!! We couldn't have asked for nicer weather or a better team today. Thank you to our amazing volunteers for coming out and getting their hands dirty. Great job everyone!! The gardens are really starting to take shape now.

Souris Best Recipes Cookbook
Thank you for all the recipe submissions, there are 60 recipes in the cookbook! I will finish designing it in the next couple days and then will make posts for ordering! Here is a peek at the current table of contents, I still have a few recipes to add!

The Souris Minor Hockey Association provides an opportunity for kids to be a part of an organized hockey team every year! We were so happy to present them with a $1000 donation that will go towards supporting all of their minor hockey teams this year!
Souris Food Bank
Often this fall we would show up to boxes of veggies dropped off anonymously. We would like to send out a heartfelt thank you to all of our produce donors this harvest even if we don’t know who you are as well as those we know
We have been able to distribute every last potato, squash, tomato & more you generously gave us. These days the cost of produce has gone up significantly and our food bank recipients appreciate it more than you know.
Want to donate but don't know what is most needed? LT's Corner Store of Souris and Pembina Co-op Souris Foods have pre-made bags of our most needed items at all different price levels

Souris District Arts Council
Jake Vaadeland and the Sturgeon River Boys served up an early Halloween treat tonight. Patrons from 4 to 94 enjoyed an evening of bluegrass/rockabilly/country music, jokes and a very acrobatic upright bass player. Thank you to our wonderful audience for showing their support for live music, Jake and his band for donating a CD (won by Chris Swanepoel), Kathleen Lagasse for a beautiful floral arrangement (won by Linda Harris), and all our Arts Council volunteers for their efforts in bringing this stellar show to Souris. We next welcome the Buzz Brass Band for our Christmas show on November 25. More details to follow.
