We are also super excited to announce that me Carlos and Diana are passing the torch to another amazing and hard working couple that starting January 1st will be the new owners of the Woodfire Deli, Alex and María will be part of souris community as they will be living in souris as well.

Alex and María have years of experience in different businesses in Mexico and they are so excited and happy to start their new life in Souris.

Please show your support and welcome them to the community, and of course will be a few changes in the Woodfire deli such a New items in the Menu, New Hours, an amazing new drinks like Smoothies and much more surprises in the next weeks.

From us (Carlos and Diana ) we cannot thank enough to all of you for your always support, we love the Deli but we have to say goodbye for now as we have decided to go with a different direction in our business endeavour, has been already 4 years of leading with ups and downs (crescent being redone, after 2 years of COVID ) but we made it thanks of all of the souris community.

We want to thank as well all the local businesses that support the deli and of course Steve and Buffy Cancade for all their support to make this dream come true.

Now is time for Alex and Maria to continue with all the good things that they will offer at the Woodfire deli.

Peacock Days 2022 Donations

This picture below was taken at the Christmas Community Supper. Pictured below is Dave Martin (board director), Karen Kempe, and Kayla Logeot (Peacock Days Committee) Then the recipients of the donations.

The Ag Society and our board members want to thank everyone that made the 2022 Peacock Days and Fair a huge success; this includes a special thanks to the competitors, spectators, sponsors, event organizers, and volunteers for their tremendous support of the 2022 Peacock Days & Fair.

Jessie Goodwill shared that this was the largest group we had ever collaborated with for the summer fair in the past six years. - 16 + businesses, local organizations and individual event organizers were involved.

We genuinely appreciate everyone's cooperation and patience with this new journey of working together as a big group.

The 2022 Peacock Days and Fair had fantastic attendance; our donation gate received very generous donation support from all! This amazing generosity allows the Souris-Glenwood Agricultural Society to give back to each organization that helped us! We are excited to announce a 400$ donation to each organization that helped us.

The organizations are as follows: Avalon Theatre, Souris BPO Elks, Souris Cooperative Daycare, Souris District Arts Council, and Souris Minor Hockey.

Thank you all for your support, and mark your calendar for the 2023 Peacock Days and Fair, July 7 - 9! May everyone have a safe and Happy Holidays!
