30th Annual Scarecrow Days Oct. 1-3

We are celebrating BIG with a Scarecrow Social Event featuring live band: Dust Rhinos. Former Souris resident Blair McEvoy grew up on Dickson St. and is excited for his band to play in Souris!

Town-wide yard sale registration has started. I've attached the poster I made for info.

NEW this year, people will register their scarecrows so I can make a map of them for judges and everyone else to see them. I've attached my sign for that too. Theme: Classic Scarecrows...Party like it's 1992!

School Starting

School started this Thursday for Souris! Please remember to watch for kids, slow down in the school zone, to stop for buses and be cautious around a stopped bus. Hope everyone has a super school year!

Weiming Zhao

Weiming Zhao was in Souris painting again this past week! Take a look below at his beautiful art. This is what he said when he posted his pictures:

"Spent 6 hours yesterday exploring the beauty of the town with my brushes and easel. We have been to Souris so many times and yet we had never been to the golf course until yesterday. The view from the Club House is breathtaking! I set up my easel there painting against strong gust of wind."

More pictures painted Saturday!

Souris Family in Need

This Souris family has lived here for 8 years. Tony Laluk plays with the Souris Curling Club and you recently would have seen his daughter Isabelle in pictures for the peacock pride competition! Tony was recently diagnosed with esophagus and stomach cancer and will be having treatment and surgery soon. This family could use our support during this hard time.
