New Owners at Tak Lee's

To everyone in Souris,
My parents are officially retired as of Jan 2, 2022 from the Tak Lee Café. My family would like to take a moment to thank everyone in Souris. The Souris community has provided us with many warm and friendly memories. Tommy and I had a wonderful time in school making friends as well as learning and understanding Canadian culture.
Our loyal customers have always enjoyed my parents’ Chinese food. It has helped them continue to work hard for last 28 years. The plan will be that they will be moving to Winnipeg at the end of Feb and starting their retirement journey. It might take some time for them to adjust to big city life, but they will have lots to keep them occupied and entertained in the city.
There will be a Chinese family with two young children taking over the restaurant. They look forward to meeting all of you. Their family came from Regina, SK. and they have prior experience running a Chinese restaurant.
For our loyal customers, if you have purchased/received coupons previously, the new owner promised to continue to accept them until they are all gone. My parents will pay the difference and it is my parents’ honor to ensure their customers have been served with their previous coupons. If you have a coupon from previously, please use it and take the opportunity to meet the new owners and try out their style of Chinese food. The restaurant will be opening on Feb 2, 2022, Wednesday. The phone number will remain the same and they will be put their new menus in your mailboxes shortly. My parents will be helping them out for a couple of weeks for the transition period, and they will make sure the new owner is running the restaurant smoothly. In case you see my parents in town or at the restaurant, please say goodbye and well wishes for their retirement.
Lastly, I would like for all of you to provide the same welcoming support to the new owners by trying their Chinese food and show them our friendly town spirit so they can adapt faster, just like you did for my family. We will continue to come visit whenever we can. We will miss all the friendly smiles. You’re like family to us. Thanks again for all the memories you and Souris have given us. Take care you all!
