School Vandalism
In recent months, Souris School skate park has been experiencing a horrible amount of vandalism. This past week a hydrometer was destroyed and broken glass bottles had to be cleaned up.
Residents who live in the area have noticed the concrete benches being flipped, vulgar words are written on the cement and the bench under the gazebo is bent and has been flipped over. Which is really saddening as a lot of parents and grandparents would sit there while their kids played.
A resident mentioned how she now feels unsafe to send her grandkids there to play and goes with them every time to the park, as she is nervous bigger kids will come and bully or be dangerous. She also mentioned how she and her grandkids went to the park on Thursday and they ended up picking up a lot of glass in the area.
The seats are bent so you can no longer sit.
The benches have damage from being flipped over multiple times.

Fundraising for the Museum
The cut-off date for the cooler bag fundraiser is May 21st. Then the order will be put in! Each bag is $25, these bags can carry about 16 cans and $8 from each bag sold is going to the museum. Mothers Day Joke
Two children ordered their mother to stay in bed one Mothers Day morning. As she lay there looking forward to breakfast in bed, the smell of bacon floated up from the kitchen. But after a good long wait, she finally went downstairs to investigate. She found them both sitting at the table eating a breakfast of bacon and eggs. "Surprise! we decided to cook our own breakfast!"
