Sienna’s Bench You're Invited! – In Appreciation TODAY at 3:00pm Bring a chair.
Please come out & enjoy the new 'Siennas Bench' at the Souris Dam, south side by the trail. Coffee & cookies will be served in appreciation for the tremendous efforts and community spirit of many Souris citizens in the search & successful rescue of Sienna and her 9 newborn puppies. Last summer 2021 a very pregnant Sienna went missing while she was visiting from BC her family needed help to find her, and when she was found she had 9 babies! Her family has returned to Souris again this summer in recognition of the great community efforts and people that got Sienna and her babies back home safely, her family is dedicating this bench in the area where Sienna was found for the citizens of Souris in appreciation. THANK YOU! Location is at the end of “The Drive” by the Dam TODAY @ 3 Shirley Klassen – 2021 Prairie Wynd Collies

For this week's #mbmuseumshowandtell we had to find something in storage that visitors have not been able to see! So we went to our storage and I remembered this thermometer that has advertising on it for S.S.Smith Chemist, Druggist and Stationer that used to be right here in Souris. One thing of note is also how the thermometer is in Fahrenheit, not Celsius. It was manufactured in New York City by American Standard Thermometer Co.
